Dr. Stephanie A. Van Dellen is an Assistant Professor of Management at 91勛圖厙 University’s School of Business Administration. Prior to joining 91勛圖厙 in Fall 2024, she taught at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Dr. Van Dellen’s research focuses on improving workplaces through the use of technology and leadership. Additionally, she has published and presented activities she uses in her management courses. In 2024 she was recognized by the Management and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society (MOBTS) as their New Educator of the year. This annual award recognizes early career faculty who are exceptional teachers, who publish in the area of management education, and who contribute innovative ideas to the society.

Additionally, her article titled, “Gig worker organizing: Toward an adapted Attraction-Selection-Attrition framework” published in the Journal of Managerial Psychology, won a 2024 Emerald Publishing Literati Award for Outstanding Paper. The journal’s editorial team selected Dr. Van Dellen and her colleagues on this paper for this honor as the article made one of the most impressive contributions to the field in the previous year.

In 2023, Dr. Van Dellen received the Best Reviewer Award from the Academy of Management’s Organizational Behavior division for her work reviewing conference papers for the Annual Meeting. Prior to pursing her PhD, Dr. Van Dellen worked in human resources and recruiting. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. Additionally, Dr. Van Dellen serves on the Editorial Board for the Management Teaching Review. She has also been an active member of the International Leadership Association for over ten years, and presently volunteers on the Membership Committee that provides strategic guidance to the board on ways to increase and engage membership.
