91³Ô¹ÏÍø

When Shauna started her undergraduate studies at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø University, she was a business major. After volunteering in the emergency department at Sacred Heart Hospital, she realized she had the heart of a nurse and changed her major to nursing. At the time, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø's nursing program was a joint degree with Seattle University and she earned her BSN in December 2004. She worked as a pediatric registered nurse for over six years at St. Luke's Children's Hospital in Boise, ID. In May 2011, she received her master's degree from Idaho State University and began practicing as a nurse practitioner in Pediatric ENT. A year later, she transitioned to Treasure Valley Pediatrics, where she has worked since August 2012. Shauna rejoined the 91³Ô¹ÏÍø community in August 2019 as a lecturer and feels privileged to teach her future colleagues. She is passionate about her career, which carries over into her teaching. 

Shauna grew up in the Sun Valley area of Idaho and has called Boise home since 2004. She met her husband at 91³Ô¹ÏÍø - he also received a BSN degree and manages a behavioral health unit. She has two children (and three fur babies). As a family, they enjoy time in the outdoors including skiing, camping, golfing, swimming, and biking.
