Why does 91³Ô¹ÏÍø have an inauguration?
91³Ô¹ÏÍø holds an inauguration ceremony for its new president because, in Jesuit and Catholic higher education tradition, the presidency is not only an executive role but also a symbolic one, representing the Jesuit mission of educating students for lives of leadership and service. The inauguration invites the community to ritually affirm its identity and recommit to that mission under new leadership.
Will classes be cancelled for any inauguration week events?
No. The University will operate as usual and the regular academic schedule will remain in effect. While the academic schedule continues, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in inauguration events as scheduling permits. More specific guidance can be found here.
