The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory will be an environment to practice what's taught in the classroom. Students will simulate taking measurements of the human body and its functions, exploring the instruments used in operating rooms and doctors' offices.
In addition to the teaching lab, a Tissue Culture space will allow for growing and maintaining cells under sterile, controlled conditions.
Research Labs
Biomedical Engineering seniors will use the lab for their capstone learning environment, applying their education to a real-world challenge.
The space will also give the department's two new faculty their own research labs to lead student teams in specific experiments.
Additional Research Labs: Biomechanical Lab for Brandon Sargent, Ph.D.
